Auggies Kitchen Barossa keeps things simple: we only collect the details we need to feed you, and we don't sell or trade them with anyone. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect through this website and what happens to it.

What we collect

When you place an order through the online order form, we ask for:

• Your name and phone number, so we can confirm the order
• Your email address, if you choose to give it, so we can email you a copy of your order
• Your delivery address and delivery area, so we can bring it to you
• Your order details, any promo code and how you'd like to pay
• Any dietary needs, allergies, requests or preferred delivery day you choose to tell us

When we run a special pre-order (like a wings night), the pre-order form also asks for your email address so we can send your confirmation, plus delivery or pick-up details and any notes.

When you send a message through the enquiry form, we ask for your name, email address, an optional phone number, what your enquiry is about and your message — just enough to answer you.

If you join our email list, we ask for your first name (optional) and your email address.

If you call, email or message us on social media instead, we only have whatever you choose to share with us there.

Where it goes

Orders and enquiries are emailed to the kitchen's inbox so we can prepare and confirm your order, or answer your enquiry. Those emails are sent using Resend (resend.com), an email-delivery service. If an enquiry email can't be delivered, the enquiry is stored securely in JB Digital Barossa's client portal so it can be followed up and passed on to us.

A copy of each order and enquiry also goes to JB Digital Barossa, the studio that built and runs this website for us, at admin@jbdigitalbarossa.com.au. JB Digital Barossa receives that copy purely as our website operator — it's a safety net so no order goes missing and the ordering system keeps working — and doesn't use your details for anything else. Special pre-orders are also stored in JB Digital Barossa's secure order system so we can manage delivery times, and JB Digital Barossa's client dashboard keeps a short log of each enquiry and each new email-list signup (name, email and message) so they can check everything is arriving.

We use your details only to prepare, confirm and deliver your order, and to contact you about it. Dietary and allergy information is used solely to cook to suit. We never sell your details.

Our email list

If you join our email list, we'll send you a welcome email and then menus, market dates and news from the kitchen. Your name and email are stored with our website host (Netlify) and the emails are sent through Resend. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. We only email people who signed up, and we never sell the list or share it with anyone beyond the services named on this page.

Payment details

If you pay by card online at checkout, your payment is processed securely by Square, a third-party payment provider. Your card details go directly to Square and are never collected, seen or stored by this website — Square handles them under its own privacy policy and security standards.

You can also choose to pay on delivery or pickup instead. To set up an online payment we pass Square your name, phone number, delivery address (for delivery orders), email (if you gave one) and a summary of your order, including any notes you add, so your receipt matches your order. Either way, this website never collects or stores your card number or banking details.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use this website — for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (city or region level), what device and browser they use, and whether the order, call, email or enquiry buttons are used. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) in your browser to do this. We use these statistics only to improve the site; we don't run advertising trackers and we don't use analytics to identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on every website with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

A few things on the site are also loaded from third parties, and those services may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies:

• An embedded Facebook page feed (Meta)
• An embedded Google Map of the Barossa Valley (Google)
• Web fonts served by Google Fonts (Google)
• Square's secure checkout page, if you pay online

Where your data is stored

Some of the services above (Netlify, Resend, Google, Meta and Square) store or process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We only use them for the purposes described on this page.

Enquiry forms and follow-up

When you type your email address or phone number into an enquiry or quote form on this website, we save what you have entered so far (your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry), even if you do not press send. We do this only so that Auggies Kitchen can get in touch once to help if your enquiry was interrupted. We never save passwords or payment details. If you clear the form, or tap “Clear” under it, what you typed is deleted. If you do send the form, the unsent copy is deleted straight away. Otherwise, saved details are deleted automatically after 90 days. They are stored securely in Australia by our website provider, JB Digital Barossa, and are not sold, shared or used for marketing lists. To see or delete anything we hold about you, or to ask us not to contact you, email auggieskitchenbarossa@gmail.com and we will action it promptly.

How long we keep it

Order emails are kept only as long as we need them to fulfil orders, handle any follow-up and keep basic business records. The same goes for the backup copy held by JB Digital Barossa. If you'd like your details removed sooner, just ask and every copy will be deleted.

Your choices

Under Australian privacy law you're welcome to ask us what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Contact us any time:

If we change how we handle your details, we'll update this page. The date at the top tells you when it was last reviewed.
